Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your Football Banter account and associated community data from within the app.
Delete your account in the app
- Sign in to Football Banter.
- Open Account Settings.
- Select Security.
- Select Delete Account.
- Follow the prompts to confirm permanent deletion.
Once confirmed, your account deletion cannot be undone.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@footballbanter.app with “Account deletion request” in the subject line.
Where possible, contact us from the email address associated with your Football Banter account and include your username. We may ask for additional information to verify that you own the account before processing the request.
Never send your password, verification code or sign-in token.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes your Football Banter account and associated community data, including:
- Your profile and account preferences
- Your posts and replies
- Your reactions
- Your follows
- Your predictions
- Your stored push-notification registration
Deletion is subject to the limited retention described below.
What may be retained
We may retain limited information where necessary for:
- Security and fraud prevention
- Abuse and safety investigations
- Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims
- Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations
Content that has already been shared or copied by another user may continue to appear in that user's copy.
Encrypted backups may also retain data for a limited period before they are securely overwritten or deleted.
Important
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Uninstalling the Football Banter app does not delete your account.
Similarly, disconnecting or removing a sign-in provider does not delete your Football Banter account.
